In Arusha

Posted by Ory Okolloh in TED

Made it in one piece.

Baby KP was perfect…she already has the makings of a sophisticated traveller :-), which is a good thing seeing that mama has a bit of wanderlust in her.

Now off to make my slides pretty (I can’t stand powerpoint!).

You need to get a hold of PowerPoint 2007. Finally you can make slides that DON’T look like PowerPoint!

Will you get a chance to visit the School of St Jude while you are in Arusha? The amazing Gemma Sisia started the school in 2002 with 3 pupils and it has grown to 850 students this year. She is building a second campus at Usa River to provide a secondary school for her kids. She’s unstoppable.

Check out my blog about the school — http://www.schoolstjude.blogspot.com

I remember arriving in Arusha when I was 4 (34 years ago!) in an East African Airways VC10, and promptly being offloaded as I was staff child, and the flight was overbooked! So vivid in my mind!
