The application process is now open and closes on October 20th. “Ideal fellows include those who have already decided on a career in venture philanthropy, those who are seeking a career at the highest levels in the corporate world but want to better understand and impact problems of global poverty, and budding social entrepreneurs who want to learn about managing organizations in the most demanding settings.”

MyC4.com is a web-based platform that allows you to look up a list of African entrepreneurs who need funding for their projects and to offer them loans. You bid a certain interest rate, which is accepted as long as it is below the maximum the entrepreneur is willing to accept and as long as others have not bid below you. You can lend as little as 5 euros. Default rate is in the single digits.

…it’s been a while since I’ve posted a pic of a now toddler KP. She’s 18 months, almost 19 and a bundle of energy and curiosity…I’m loving it! First full sentence - “Wow! What’s this?” when I get home with shopping bags. That’s her doing karaoke at a friend’s bash. Her current favorite song is Alicia Keys “No one” and she will not move from the TV if a Chris Brown video is on…not to mention that her kwaito moves are on point…I swear I’m not brainwashing her.
