Sessional Paper No. 10
Interesting analysis of how the (in)famous Sessional Paper no 10 authored by edit Tom Mboya (mea culpa for previously attributing to Kibaki and thanks to those who corrected, great background on Mboya can be found here) is relevant to the current situation in Kenya.
EDIT: (Woz, here’s a better link, Cheers). Full text of the paper can be found here.
Obama Snr.’s critique can be found here.
Merci
Hi Ory!
As always, thanks for sharing… your the best!
Popular opinion (and maybe its just my drinking circles) is that Sessional Paper No. 10 was authored by Tom Mboya in his capacity as Minister for Planning and National Development. Shall dig into it more. Timely piece.

Sessional Paper 10 was not drafted by Mr Kibaki; it was drafted by a Cabinet committee with much input from the Planning Ministry then headed by Mr Mboya. The Obama critique that you provide a link to is riddled with various grammatical errors and obvious gaps and is headed by the name Barak H Obama, thus casting doubt on the accuracy and authorship of that document. Please can I request you – and this is important for the credibility of your excellent site – to look into this and clarify. Thank you.
was it Mboya who said that keny will practice an open door policy to multinational corpoation during the eve of the sessional paper of 1965?
this open door policy has realy advanced the interests of MNCs in the country while negating on other key issues of public interest.
