It is suggestible some attributes like a picture or icon should be added in your passage. Then it would make one understood easily.

Jane, Jellyfish, has either one of you read the book?

Jellyfish, most books take an enormous amount of time and effort to write. Few authors actually get rich, and surely it's not a problem if an author earns money with his/her book. Or do you work for months and years for free? You wouldn't ask a CEO to do so, you wouldn't expect a bus driver to do so.

Last time I checked, attending a book reading is voluntary. Nobody is forcing anyone to abandon nation-saving activities to attend such a reading.

Indeed in these incredibly difficult times one finds incredibly dubious, the purpose of off handed and cynical comments that the likes of Jane makes. They are not productive, assistive and only serve to discourage what little good there is t in intiatives that the book reading provides.

KP.

I dont think the issue is whether Kenya is corrupt or not but what needs to be done to reduce or eradicate corruption. This books are meant to enrich their authors and push agendas. This book will also be used to entrench ethnicity under the guise of fighting corruption.

I dont object to them reading the book by all means go ahead it's your right but try to get something positive to come out of it. If people go there to reinforce stereotypes then it will have become another divisive issue for Kenyans.

So, according to your logic Jane, people should not read about the background on how Kenya got to the mess it is in? Maybe your ostrich-stuck-in-the-sand attitude is what has enabled Kenya to be where it is.
