This is going to send a powerful message. Women have suffered a lot during the pre-election violence and this should present a good forum for them to express their anguish. I am hoping the march will also dwell heavily on woman and children –read girls – who are being raped and exploited in IDP camps. I also hope & pray that the dreaded GSU will not disrupt this peaceful meeting with teargas canisters !!

This will be a BEAUTIFUL and POWERFUL event!! well in to the conference organizers! having participated in March for womens’ lives I know the liberating feeling of a peacful gathering that sends a powerful message of unity. White is the cultural universal symbol of purity and healing. Women are the givers of life and help to sustain it with our positive energy as well. This is the energy required to steer the country back in the right direction. I challenge all women worldwide to wear white on Saturday to show that we are together in spirit. Peace
