As you say in your post, it&#039;s up to Kenyans to sort this out.  I mention that because, although it would be good to think that others can help, they really can&#039;t.  Look at the failure of the international community in relation to Dafur and Rwanda, too mention just two examples.   

The appalling state of affairs in Kenya registers much lower in the  world&#039;s consciousness.  The headlines &#039;Corrupt African President Rigs Vote, Clings to Power&#039; or &#039;Another of Africa&#039;s Big Men Shows Disdain for the Fate of His People&#039; would hardly count as &#039;news&#039; at all here in Europe.  &#039;So, what&#039;s new?&#039; most people would say.</description>
