However, I must say that the Alchemist was a pleasant read for me. And for about 3 or 4 months after reading it I think it changed my life, cant say what happened after that part though-I like Paulo Coello's writing and theme of listening to one's dreams. Anyhow, sorry it didnt sit well with you. Such is life on the simple message but “larger than life” books like The Secret.

The book has been translated into 56 languages in more than 150 countries! As for the movie, the guys involved are describing it as "Harry Potter meets Indiana Jones" .
